Each of us has dreams and goals we want to attain, but we never get around to accomplishing them. Why? Because there is just not enough time in a day! Time management separates those who are successful from those who are not.
Most people who are successful work a “2nd Shift.” “2nd Shift” is when you get a chance to spend your own time and employ yourself! It is coined 2nd Shift because most of us spend our 1st Shift at a regular 9-5 job. When 2nd Shift kicks in, you are the boss, you set your goals, and you set the times when you want to work! All you have to do is identify a two- or three-hour window that you will work for yourself three to five times a week. Then work on the goals you have set for yourself. It is that simple!
2nd Shift gives you the time you need to accomplish your goals. When we want to do something, we seldom set a specific time to do it. As a result, we never get around to doing it. The goal is to reach a point where missing your 2nd shift makes you feel bad. And always remember, to start off 2nd Shift, read aloud the goals you have defined for yourself. Repeating things over and over again makes them come true, so get your 2nd Shifts started!
