Everyday at midnight (Sunday through Thursday) I sit down and complete a 2nd Shift session. Each of us have dreams and goals we want to attain but never get around to accomplishing them because we don’t have the time. And in order to have time, we have to make time. So 2nd Shift is a time of the day you set aside to work on your own goals and dreams. It is coined 2nd Shift because most of us spend our 1st Shift at our regular 9-5 jobs. So 2nd shift is time to work on yourself.
Why is 2nd Shift so effective? When we have a want to do something, we seldom assign a specific time slot to do it and as a result we never get around to doing it. Once you have identified a time that you will work for yourself, your mind programs itself and after you keep it up, your body gets use to it. After awhile, it gets easier and subconscious. You want to get to the point where if you miss a session, you feel bad. To start off 2nd Shift, read aloud the goals you have defined for yourself. It’s something about repeating things over and over again that makes them come true! So get those 2nd Shifts started!! Look for me to shout out 2nd shift on twitter at midnight 5 days a week! Sometimes I sneak in weekend sessions because I want to turn my dreams into reality as soon as possible.
